Menus and actions depend on your company's settings and your access. If something is missing, ask your company administrator.

Before you begin #

Confirm the customer, stock, units, tax classification and accounting setup. Use the correct company and branch.

Step by step #

  1. Open Vouchers, choose Sales, then Add.
  2. Select Party Ledger and check document number and date.
  3. Add variants and their quantities, units, godowns and rates.
  4. Review GST classification, ingredient pricing, discounts and charges.
  5. Use settlement/payment controls available in the form to record or map the payment correctly.
  6. Complete additional forms and save.
  7. Reopen the saved document and verify status, totals and related ledger/stock information.

Understand the fields #

  • Quantity and unit: together determine the sold quantity.
  • Taxability: identifies the item’s GST treatment; a zero tax amount alone does not identify the treatment.
  • Mapped receipts: link an existing payment; do not record the same receipt twice.
  • Status: affects the business workflow; saving a draft is not a guarantee of posting.

Check the result #

Compare invoice total, payment/outstanding balance and stock movement for the saved status. POS and Vouchers should apply the same business rules for equivalent inputs.

If something goes wrong #

For a GST classification error, open the item’s GST classification and supply the correct treatment. For negative stock, verify godown, batch and available quantity before allowing any permitted override.

On mobile #

Open the same module from the app menu. Use the record card or its actions menu. Scroll through the form before saving so that required fields and validation messages are not missed. Your permissions still apply.
