Sell through POS

Use the cart-based interface for voucher entry and find saved vouchers.

Menus and actions depend on your company's settings and your access. If something is missing, ask your company administrator.

Before you begin #

Choose the intended voucher type. POS and Vouchers are two interfaces for the same voucher operations; their permissions can differ.

Step by step #

  1. Open POS and choose the required voucher type.
  2. Select the ledger/party and search or scan a variant.
  3. Add it to the cart, then review quantity, rate and Ingredients where present.
  4. Review discounts, offers, tax classification and payment split.
  5. Save the voucher and resolve any validation message before retrying.
  6. Open the saved-vouchers area to search records; choose Today, This Month or All, or use the separate date-range control.

Understand the fields #

  • Cart quantity: the quantity to include in this document.
  • Available stock: depends on the inventory context; check the save warning’s godown/batch scope.
  • Full Cash, Bank or Credit: review the resulting payment amounts.
  • Refresh prices & offers: refreshes the applicable pricing preview; it is not a save.

Check the result #

Reopen the saved voucher and compare items, total and payment. Purchase and accounting voucher types can open their shared entry forms in a popup.

If something goes wrong #

If totals or validation look wrong, check every line’s unit, rate and GST classification. Do not assume selecting Sales Order has the same posting effect as Sales.

On mobile #

Open the same module from the app menu. Use the record card or its actions menu. Scroll through the form before saving so that required fields and validation messages are not missed. Your permissions still apply.
