Menus and actions depend on your company's settings and your access. If something is missing, ask your company administrator.

Before you begin #

Create or select the correct production batch and have component quantities and units ready.

Step by step #

  1. Open Material Consumption and use Add.
  2. Select Production Batch and the material variant/unit using the available controls.
  3. Review Issued Qty and enter Consumed Qty.
  4. Enter Wastage Qty, Rate and required details.
  5. Review Amount and remarks, then save.
  6. Reopen the record and compare it with the batch and material information.

Understand the fields #

  • Issued Qty: material issued for the work.
  • Consumed Qty: material actually used.
  • Wastage Qty: recorded waste.
  • Rate / Amount: review the material valuation fields.
  • Production Batch: links the entry to the correct run.

Check the result #

Verify the quantities in the selected unit and intended batch.

If something goes wrong #

Do not enter wastage again as an unrelated consumption entry without confirming the accounting/inventory workflow. Correct validation errors and retry the retained draft.

On mobile #

Open the same module from the app menu. Use the record card or its actions menu. Scroll through the form before saving so that required fields and validation messages are not missed. Your permissions still apply.
