Edit ingredients and custom values

Review the component quantities and custom values used by a finished item.

Menus and actions depend on your company's settings and your access. If something is missing, ask your company administrator.

Before you begin #

The selected item must have ingredients, or your permissions must allow adding them. Configured ingredient fields determine which inputs appear.

Step by step #

  1. Open Ingredients for the item in POS, Vouchers or the quotation flow.
  2. Check the finished item named at the top.
  3. Select the ingredient rows to include and review quantity, unit value, rate and sort order.
  4. Choose or enter configured custom values such as Color and Gauge.
  5. Use searchable selectors for long option lists; close without choosing to keep the previous value.
  6. Apply the popup, then save the parent document.

Understand the fields #

  • Ingredient quantity: quantity used by that component row.
  • Custom values: use the configured field type, not only select lists.
  • Sort order: display order within the applicable ingredient editor.
  • Apply: updates the current draft; the parent document still needs saving.

Check the result #

Reopen the saved document’s ingredients and verify selected rows and custom values.

If something goes wrong #

If a field is absent, ask an authorized administrator to review the ingredient custom-field settings. If a choice is missing, check the managed options rather than typing an unrelated replacement.

On mobile #

Open the same module from the app menu. Use the record card or its actions menu. Scroll through the form before saving so that required fields and validation messages are not missed. Your permissions still apply.
