Track a production work order
Review required ingredients, process progress and production activity.
Menus and actions depend on your company's settings and your access. If something is missing, ask your company administrator.
Before you begin #
A work order may come from a permitted source-document workflow or an available creation action. Set up production processes and stock variants first.
Step by step #
- Open Production Work Orders and use search/status/date/assignment filters as needed.
- Open a work order’s details.
- Review Overview and Processes & Items before recording progress.
- Open Ingredients / BOM and select the process.
- Search ingredients or custom values; review required, completed, pending, rejected and wastage quantities.
- Where permitted, add missing custom values or record the process action.
- Review Activity and Attachments, then refresh the list.
Understand the fields #
- Completed / total and progress bar: summarize the order’s recorded completion.
- Custom-value rows: distinguish quantities with different configured values.
- Process: the stage whose ingredient progress is being displayed.
- Ingredients / Materials: material required/issued/consumed information, distinct from process completion.
- Deadline: target completion date, separate from the order date.
Check the result #
Verify progress for the correct process and quantity row. Check the actor and time in Activity after a recorded action.
If something goes wrong #
If a row appears twice, compare custom values and unit. If an action is unavailable, check status, assignment and permission. Do not record the same completion twice after a slow response.
On mobile #
Open the same module from the app menu. Use the record card or its actions menu. Scroll through the form before saving so that required fields and validation messages are not missed. Your permissions still apply.
