Menus and actions depend on your company's settings and your access. If something is missing, ask your company administrator.

Before you begin #

Set up the stock variants, units and production processes first. Use an authorized production account.

Step by step #

  1. Open Production BOM and add or edit a bill of materials.
  2. Choose the intended output/item context in the form.
  3. Enter BOM Code, Version and remarks.
  4. Use Add Item to enter component variants, quantities, units and unit costs.
  5. Use Add Process to select the production steps and their instructions; mark a process required when appropriate.
  6. Save and reopen to review both items and processes.

Understand the fields #

  • BOM Code / Version: identify the definition being maintained.
  • Component Qty: required quantity in the selected unit.
  • Unit Cost: cost information for the component.
  • Instructions: guidance for a process.
  • Required Process: indicates a mandatory configured step.

Check the result #

Verify component units and process order before using the BOM in new production work.

If something goes wrong #

If a component or process is missing from the picker, check its master/status. Editing a BOM is not the same as recording actual material consumption for a batch.

On mobile #

Open the same module from the app menu. Use the record card or its actions menu. Scroll through the form before saving so that required fields and validation messages are not missed. Your permissions still apply.
