Prepare for e-invoice and e-way bill actions

Understand the prerequisites before requesting an electronic invoice or transport document.

Menus and actions depend on your company's settings and your access. If something is missing, ask your company administrator.

Before you begin #

Your company must have an enabled provider integration and valid credentials, registration and document data. A visible action alone does not mean the provider account is ready.

Step by step #

  1. Complete the underlying voucher and verify party GST/address details, items, tax classification and totals.
  2. Open its available e-invoice/e-way bill action.
  3. Review the requested document and transport details.
  4. Submit only after verifying the information.
  5. Read the provider response and keep the returned reference/status.
  6. If the request fails, correct the reported data and check the existing status before retrying.

Understand the fields #

  • Provider configuration: controlled by your authorized administrator.
  • IRN/reference: returned after successful processing; do not invent it.
  • Transport details: required according to the operation and document.
  • Response status: distinguishes a saved local voucher from a successful provider submission.

Check the result #

Verify returned identifiers and document status. This guide does not promise production connectivity without provider activation.

If something goes wrong #

For credentials or provider service errors, contact your administrator. For document validation errors, correct the affected fields instead of submitting unchanged requests repeatedly.

On mobile #

Open the same module from the app menu. Use the record card or its actions menu. Scroll through the form before saving so that required fields and validation messages are not missed. Your permissions still apply.
